I haven't been writing the last few days, because I've got the flu. The actual proper flu, that drains you of all energy so that you can't do anything.

It's not fun. And my brain's been all fuzzy so no words. But I have been thinking a lot about my babies, in particular Bertie and Jack.

Bertie is the king, a modern day king with all the receptions and charity engagements and state dinners that requires. He has to shake hands with/generally interact with literally hundreds of people every day. I wonder how he doesn't always have some sort of cold/illness? Has he built up a really strong immune system since childhood? His father would also have done the same thing, so he would have been exposed to it. Maybe they all had colds/flu/whatever was going around constantly as children, and they just built up a resistance eventually. Of course, he has to be extra careful now and gets lots of vitamin C and takes care of himself.

I wonder how strong Jack's immune system is, though? He wasn't raised in and around protest camps, like his older brother (he was born in one though, pretty much). Maybe he gets a cold from exposure (heh) to Bertie? That could be fun.

Of course, I have so much to work in that that'll be fairly far down on my list, but it would be amusing.
