Mean things: Hm. I don't think I was too mean, actually. Thomas is unsure and Cornelius is all shy, but those things will change soon.
Fun things: Freddie/Cornelius cuteness.
Stimulants: Coffee (though damn, never had my second cup. Guess who'll have a headache tomorrow?) Also a fair bit of chocolate, from baking, and I predict painkillers in my immediate future.
Not a whole lot of words today, but I did shut Jack up for a while, which is good. The boys are chugging along. Mostly just small talk at the dinner, but it's picking up as they get more comfortable.
I was so distracted today, for some reason. Just couldn't focus. Thankfully, scrivener full screen mode is my friend, and so I did manage to focus eventually. I had to get ready to bake, too - I'm making Cookie Monster cupcakes for my cousin's third birthday tomorrow and needed to get the eyes done. Drawing circles on white chocolate sweets with cooking chocolate and a toothpick is laborious, let me tell you. Also, disturbing to have seventy-odd eyes staring up at you when you're done. I also did four loads of laundry which still need to be folded, urgh.
So yes, productive day. I also got a chance to be silly, because I bought a 2kg bag of flour for the baking. The St Edward's Crown weighs 2.2kg, and so naturally, I did some research and played with the bag of flour. It's HEAVY. It's really heavy, and though the crown would be better balanced on his head, it's still going to take a lot of getting used to. Poor Bertie. My neck and head still feel weird, and I didn't have it on for very long at a time.
